Technology for students have unique educational opportunities. Students with cognitive disabilities often have reading difficulties caused by visual discrimination, audio processing problems, attention span difficulties, or short-term memory impairments. The authors go over the advantages of the use of technology and websites: the ability to integrate different types of digital media allows interaction with content in ways a static textbook cannot offer (animation, hypertext, and clickable diagrams).
