Improving access to voting: a report on technology for accessible voting systems

This article detailed the need for accessible voting systems for all voters. In order to improve on voting systems, technology that can help already exists and is cheap to apply to many voting systems. As a result, the author stated that direct-recording electronic systems should be used if they incorporate an accessible and truly verifiable paper ballot printer-scanner- verifier that converts them into more reliable ballot-marking devices, or accessibility is substantially improved to fully comply with all the new VVSG accessibility requirements.
